I am a 21 year old with a total testosterone level of 530. That happens to fall on the lower end of the range, however it is still within the range of normal. My urologist wants me to start on Androgel to boost the numbers, who feels at my age, the boost in testosterone would remain since the underlying cause for me is a varacocele lowering the testosterone.. he said i would only be on androgel for six months, and that this would NOT be a lifelong commitment as is the usual scenerio with testosterone replacement therapy…. my question, is it REALLY safe and would it be at all effective to use Androgel for six months and then be permanently brought off?

i had another blood test and got the following results :
SSH : 3.5
LH : 6.3
Prolactin : 7.8
Total Test : 255
TSH : 3.3
are these results ACTUALLY normal? my endocrinologist is not going to treat me because the total test falls within the normal range. apparently that range is 241-800. i am 26 years old and had a head injury in 1999. i have had many symptoms of someone who is deficient in testosterone (ED, limited ****** hair, low energy, etc.). i work out and watch my diet. i am convinced that some sort of testosterone replacement therapy could really improve the quality of my life. but now i have to get a second opinion and once a doctor sees the treatment not necessary from THIS doctor, i feel like no other is going to take a chance by treating me
my research has shown that those who are in the low normal range can benefit dramatically from treatment. will these numbers prevent me from getting help? what OTC routes can i take? it's been 8+ years and i'm sick of this. thanks!

I was diagnosed with low Testosterone levels but I don't really want to get put on Testosterone Replacement Therapy,however I heard that Tribulus Terrestris is a natural and very effective Testosterone booster with little to no side effects.
If you are a Tribulus Terrestris user would you please share with me about what this supplement has done for you?
And also what brand name would you recommend?

i started taking testosterone injection to bring my testosterone levels to normal 21 year old male levels. over the past week my *** drive seems to have gone down and dont ejaculate right. befor i could shoot but now it does not shoot. should i call my doctor about this?

I am an 18 year old male, 5'6 (short for my age), though many say I still look 15 or 16. I have decent sized man ***** with puffy ******* (i'm assuming gynecomastia). It appears to me that my hips are slightly wider than normal. I am nearly unable to grow substantial ****** hair and I have little to no chest hair. My ***** is an average 6, though I think my testicals are a bit on the small side. I have recently lost 70 pounds, plan to lose about 30 more(I used to be 5'4 and 240 lbs, now I'm 5'6 and 170 lbs.), and I'm wondering if I should consult my doctor about testosterone replacement therapy.

I have told my doctor all my symptoms and he did blood work, It came back with high Cholesterol. he did not prescribe me anything, I Also went because I feel tired all the time, all I want to do is sleep, no motivation, no vitality, no interest for sex, pretty much the symptoms of Low testosterone or Hypothyroidism. I am a 27 year old male, My sister suffers form Hypothyroidism so there is a history in the family. Now I have been dealing with Clinical depression for a couple of years now, it just comes to me, for no reason at all, I do not feel depress now, but I want to be the old me, full of energy. I am only 27 and I don't want to live the rest of my life like this. Does anyone know a good doctor, that treat me that specializes in hormones in the Chicago area.

My docter has prescribed testosterone cypionate due to two testicular injuries over a decade ago. 2 years ago, when I tested my hormones, I was at the low end for a 70 year (and I was 46 at the time.) Since then we have worked to fine tune the dose, but one side effect is acne, which I ****. Is there a different type of testosterone that would not produce acne as a side effect. I also take anastrazole to keep the estradiol levels within normal limits.
