have initiate and thinks about doing other intimate things like sitting with me on the couch and hugging but he just doesn't do it. He says when he comes home he just don't want to think about anything and just sorta shut down. After I have discussed my concerns he does try to be a little more affectionate at times. He does tell me how pretty I am but other than of a morning he does not just out of the blue tell me he loves me anymore unless I say it first. When we went away for a week of vacation. he was ready, willing and able to perform. He stays very tired, which his job is very strenous and stressful at times. He is taken more attention to his appearance when we go to church. he is a very good, Godly man and I love him very much and I believe he loves me. He never turns me down if I intiate it. Its not all about *** but I find him very attractive. He also is concerned about his weight gain, he said he wore a coat to church to hide his belly and that I probably wish he had a smaller belly. I told him, that did not bother me that I loved him for who he was. Could he be going through male menopause/ Serious answers appreciated..

I have prostate cancer PSA Oct. 26.07 not much hope probably spread. had lupron shot 12/13 dr. told us : no bad side effects male menopause, hot flashes some symptom related pain increase. have severe headaches, ringing in ears, extreme pain throughout body and joints, vision blurry-difficult to focus, dizzy, fever, chills, profuse sweating, light bothers me, all sound is loud and makes me mad, gritting my teeth, trembling, nauseous, and over all just feel like I'm not going to be here much longer. called dr. about side effects he denied any such phenomenon to occur. he sent me to psych ward courtesy of the police. what next? bad enough I am losing ground quickly. what he did was unethical.

Wouldn't it seem hypothetical that this would happen. As production of estrogen decreases and there is more testosterone during menopause. More testosterone.

I know that males AND females have both the hormones estrogen and testosterone. Men are also effected in a similar way only, but have opposite effects.
It also seems that the 2/3 of women divorcing their husbands at the 40-50 age range it was triggered by menopause. They come to a realization that they are not in love and might feel conflicted and seek a more ********** partner.
I will do further research on this.

no…you're not ill. chances are you are experiencing the natural symptoms that are part of the decline in reproductive hormones as we all age (both sexes)-for females, you can get this still have your period. these things can be mild or even disabling in some people. hormone treatment will rid it.
what this hormone decline is called is andropause in men perimenopause in women, this falls under the category of menopause in general. this can start as early as age 5 in people. the symptoms are the same for both sexes.

My dad has depression or male menopause, he can't take medications for it, but he is taking natural supplements and stuff to calm him. I need suggestions on how to deal with him, because he gets angry so fast (and he's full of self-pity). It's driving me crazy (but of course I don't show it). So how should I talk to him, or approach him? Should I act like I understand what he's feeling or like he's totally normal? Idk, any suggestions?
Well the problem is we can't really get him to admit he has a problem yet. I don't know how to make him see that the way he's actin isn't normal – and that we won't judge him if he admits it.
Should I just tell him straight out? Or show him facts and statistics….?
